GUATEKE is a musical duo that revives traditional Latin American music using original arrangements and a unique energy.
Founded by José Ruiz, a Venezuelan vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, and Fabien Roynette, a passionate French percussionist, the group offers a unique musical experience where traditional rhythms are reborn with contemporary interpretations.
Their music is a veritable sensorial voyage... to Latin America, of course!
GUATEKE's repertoire includes their own compositions as well as covers: some songs are masterfully rearranged standards (especially issued from Venezuelan folklore), while others bear José's creative signature, bringing a distinctive and innovative touch to the band.
Fusing intimate and lively sounds, GUATEKE makes every performance a unique moment of sharing and conviviality.
